DRC, Lusenda : The storm devastated Lusenda burundian refugees camp.

Torrential rain broke over on Lusenda camp and caused many damage.

Torrential rain together with storm have fallen on November 18th,2018 and devastated over a hundred of houses and four humanitarian offices as Faustin NIBIZI the camp president clarified it. Owners of destructed houses now undergo through serious problems because of lucking shelters. The camp representative shouts for help focusing on non-government organization which are in charge of refugees’ needs, to do their best in rehabilitation of their lives, by first of all giving something to cover the houses destructed. One of interviewed victims revealed how houses collapsed, sheets taken away by the storm, nourishes and flat screen damaged and so on. Refugees in Lusenda camp have full of sorrow. Added the victim.

As our sources revealed it, no dead body noticed but two persons a man and kid are hospitalized at Lusenda health center due to that torrential rain.Among the damage caused by the rain, refugees representative office has been damaged, and the other of International Committee of the Red Cross(CICR in French acronym) situated in Katungulu1 village, and four other humanitarian offices which work in the camp, added our sources.

The village representative advised the victims of the torrential rain to be accommodated by neighborswhile waiting if something can be done for them. Our source continues by indicating that even fishermen who were in Tanganyika Lake didn’t come back .

Burundian refugees of Lusenda shout for help because till now they don’t have where to stay.
